Box Canyon

Box Canyon State Park is one of seven units that make up Thousand Springs State Park. This trendy park is famous for Blue Water views, fishing, swimming, and in the winter seeing the Eagles. There are two new parking lots, and guests can drive almost directly to the main overlook. More adventurous guests should not miss out on viewing the icy blue water and waterfall up close. The trail is steep, but well worth the 2 miles to the waterfall or 4.3-mile round trip hike.

Niagara Springs State Park

Niagara Springs is one of seven units of the Thousand Springs State Park. This waterfall gushes out of the north side of the Snake River Canyon wall. The aquifer cleanses and purifies the water before it comes crashing out as Niagara Springs. The waterfall can be viewed from a small area adjacent to the roadway. Travelers can park there and walk or they can continue down into one of three park areas. There are beautifully manicured lawns, fishing ponds and if you love cold water - swimming as well.
